Situation: Oxfordshire technology manufacturer operating at a loss.

Assessment: Analysis of supplier base revealed a lack of preferred partners. Consequently there was a large and unmanaged supplier base with no commitment to delivery, and no internal confidence of hitting targets.

Solution: Reduced supplier base by increasing partnerships with proven suppliers, in turn reducing costs of management and procured components. Through the partnering programme non-conforming material was reduced and quick change of design/product was made possible. Changes contributed to returning company to profit.
